Dla fanów hip-hopu duet Black Star to jedna z największych gwiazd nadchodzącego festiwalu Dour.

Nowojorski duet Black Star to dwóch raperów: Talib Kweli oraz Yasiin Bey (wcześniej znany jako Mos Def). Talib i Yasiin już od wielu lat należą do hip-hopowej elity. Sumując ich dotychczasowe wydawnictwa, chłopaki z Black Star mają na swoim koncie kilkanaście albumów długogrających, choć razem nagrali dopiero jeden. Album Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star ukazał się w 1998 roku i stanowił dopiero wstęp do rozwijającej się kariery chłopaków. Po jego wydaniu Mos Def i Talib Kweli skupili się na pracy solowej. Niedawno postanowili ponownie połączyć siły i od zeszłego roku grają wspólne koncerty. Już niedługo ma ukazać się płyta numer dwa (podobno w 2012 roku, niestety szczegóły nie są znane), poprzedzona jeszcze jednym wydawnictwem zatytułowanym Black Star Aretha. Album ten będzie w pełni zadedykowany królowej soulu - Arecie Franklin. Pod koniec 2011 roku Black Star wypuścili singiel „Fix Up” będący zapowiedzią nowej współpracy oraz utwór „You Already Knew” promujący płytę Black Star Aretha.

For hip-hop fans, duo Black Star is one of the biggest stars of the upcoming Dour Festival.

New York-based Black Star are two rappers - Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def). For many years Talib and Yasiin had been present among the hip-hop elite. Summing up their past releases, guys from Black Star have had released over fifteen full-length albums, though they recorded only one together. Album Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star was released in 1998 and was only a beginning to the developing career of the boys. After its release, Mos Def and Talib Kweli have focused on solo work. Recently they decided to join forces again and since last year they are playing concerts together. Recently they announced the release of album number two (apparently in 2012, but unfortunately the details are not known), preceded by another release entitled Black Star Aretha. The album will be fully dedicated to the queen of soul - Aretha Franklin. At the end of 2011, Black Star released the single “Fix Up" which was the announcement of the new collaboration and the song "You Already Knew" as a promotion fof the album Black Star Aretha.
